Confetti Over Bulimba (2017)

Confetti Over Bulimba (2017) by Debra Hood

Confetti Over Bulimba focuses on the Queenslander architecture of the suburb on the river bend. Colours and dot paint application reflects the falling "confetti like" foliage from jacaranda and poinsettia trees.

Hidden amongst the gardens and trees you can seek for lots of Australian birds, including the magpie lark. Bulimba is a Yuggera word meaning 'place of the magpie lark'.
