Painted for the Bulimba Memorial Park-Poles in the Park Project Bulimba means “Place of the Magpie Lark" in Turrbal Language. Amongst the Memorial Park trees live the Magpie Larks and Bats. The trees on this pole are painted bright yellow to symbolise the joy they bring to our community.
Painted for the Bulimba Memorial Park-Poles in the Park Project This pole symbolises the 1 million pairs of socks that were knitted by Australian women for the troops in WW1. It also references the under-credited role of the indigenous Australians who fought to preserve our way of life in WW1
